Cameroonian Multi-Instrumentalist Muntu Valdo live at CommuniTree

Another fantastic artist performing at CommuniTree to kick-off the new year! We had the great pleasure of welcoming Cameroonian singer-songwriter and composer, Muntu Valdo, into our performance space. Muntu’s uniquely created genre of ‘Sawa Blues’ music is a fusion of traditional Cameroonian music with genres of jazz and blues.

Muntu is a blues guitarist, harmonica player and percussionist, and has played with artists such as Ali Farka Toure, Manu Dibango, Richard Bona, Keziah Jones and Alpha Blondy. He has also toured international festivals, such as WOMAD.

We had a great evening with Muntu and his Sawa Blues music and we look forward to welcoming him into our venue again. Definitely a BIG hit with your audiences!
